Sign-In With Google And Start Earning Achievements
If you have an Android device and a Google account, this update is for you!
Soon you’ll notice a new sign-in screen when launching Angry Birds Friends. We’re introducing a safe and easy system designed to back up your progress automatically and to gather achievements.
🚀 Sign in with Google for faster takeoff
Starting 1st of July, 2026, you’ll be able to sign in using your Google account. No extra passwords to remember; just sign in with Google and you’re ready to fling birds immediately. This also securely connects your game progress, power-ups and Bird Coins to your account across devices.

This update is adding Android Achievements to Angry Birds Friends!
You’ll be able to complete special challenges and milestones while you play. Whether you’re chasing perfect scores or just love popping piggies, achievements give you extra goals and bragging rights along the way.
💡 Here’s how to log in with Google
When the update arrives:
- Open the game
- Select your Play Games Profile
- Continue playing
We recommend signing in the first time you see the prompt. It only takes a few seconds. If you already have a Play Games Profile, you will be signed in automatically.

Q: Do I have to sign in with a Google account?
A: No, it’s not mandatory. On Android devices, a Google account is just a new way of logging in (similar to a Red’s Club membership) to keep your data safe.
Q: Can I link both Red’s Club and my Google account?
A: Yes! Red’s Club membership comes with permanent extra perks that do not clash with Google. Link both for maximum benefits.
Q: What is a Google Play Games Profile?
A: Think of it as your personal “gaming passport” for Android. It connects directly to your existing Google account to act as a secure, central hub for your games. With a profile, you get a unique “Gamer Name,” an avatar, and access to our new in-game Achievements! (Note: If you play other Android games, you likely already have a Games Profile attached to your account.)
Q: What are Achievements?
A: Google Play Games Achievements are optional challenges and milestones that track your accomplishments while playing. They are only available if you are signed in with a Google account and a Google Play Games Profile.
Saving Your Progress & Devices
Q: Will I lose my progress after the update?
A: No! You will simply be asked to sign in with a Google account so your current progress can sync with the cloud.
Q: What happens if I skip linking?
A: Your game will still run normally. However, by linking your account, your progress can be automatically restored if you ever accidentally delete the app or get a new device.
Q: I got a new phone. How do I restore my progress?
A: Simply install the game, open it, and sign in with the same Google account you used to log in on your old phone. Your progress will load automatically.
Q: Can I play on multiple devices?
A: Yes! Signing in with the same Google account lets you seamlessly continue playing across multiple Android devices.
Managing Accounts & Troubleshooting
Q: I have multiple Google accounts on my phone. Which one will the game use?
A: The game will use the Google Play Games profile currently active on your device. If you want to switch accounts, you need to change your profile directly in the Google Play Games app.
Q: Can I use multiple gaming accounts?
A: Gaming accounts cannot be merged, so it’s best to choose one primary account and link all your progress there.
Q: I keep getting a pop-up asking me to “Choose Account” every time I log in. How do I stop it?
A: This happens because the Google account you are currently signed into is different from the account linked to your game progress.
- To fix this: You need to switch to a Google Play Games Profile that is not already linked to another game account, or create a brand new Google Play Games Profile. The game cannot automatically unlink these accounts for you, as this prevents accidental data loss.
Q: How do I create a new Google Play Games Profile?
A: In case you don’t already have a Games Profile (or if you need to create a new one for troubleshooting purposes) follow these steps:
- Navigate to your device Settings > Scroll down and tap “Google” > Tap “All services” > Tap “Play Games” > Select the Google Account (email) you want to use > Tap “Create a profile” and follow the prompts to edit your avatar and name.
Q: Can I manually unlink my Google account from the game?
A: No. For safety reasons, you cannot manually unlink an account inside the game once it is connected. If you absolutely need to unlink an account, please contact Player Support.
